Fundamentos de Bioacústica y Análisis de Sonidos Animales en R
Objetivo general
Brindar un fundamento teórico de la bioacústica y entrenar a estudiantes en ciencias biológicas y jóvenes científicos en el uso de R como una herramienta para análisis de sonidos animales
Objetivos específicos
- Proveer una base de conocimiento teórico que permita a los estudiantes comprender el origen, evolución y función de los sonidos producidos por los animales, con un especial énfasis en sonidos vocales y mecánicos
- Profundizar en las múltiples aplicaciones de los datos bioacústicos para la resolución de preguntas biológicas en áreas tan variadas como el comportamiento animal, la evolución yel monitoreo de comunidades a partir de datos acústicos
- Familiarizar a los estudiantes con el uso de equipo para documentación de sonidos animales así como con la implementación de buenas prácticas
- Enseñar a los participantes a hacer uso de las herramientas computacionales y los recursos de investigación libremente disponibles para llevar a cabo investigación científica
